BIO
Dee is a librarian at the Detroit Public Library. Dee is a former elected precinct delegate in Detroit, MI Precinct 302. Dee has been an avid reader and writer since elementary school. As a child, she won several awards for poetry and short stories. Dee published her first novel Family Lies and Family Ties in 2012 and is currently working on a revision and the sequel to that work. She thought it would be cool to write books for her children's children so she wrote several children's books that are freely available on the open-source platform, Story Jumper.
Dee volunteers at The Parade Company as a tour guide, Big Head Corps, banner carrier, balloon handler, special events, and float driver in the Thanksgiving Parade.
